C45 Plates
C45 Plates are medium carbon, unalloyed quality steel plates generally designated as C45 under EN 10083-2 and identified by material number 1.0503. C45 steel provides a useful combination of strength, toughness, machinability and wear resistance for general engineering and machine component applications.
C45 Plates are particularly suitable for components requiring higher strength than mild steel. The material can be supplied in suitable conditions and can be heat treated, including hardening and tempering, when increased mechanical strength and hardness are required.
